Is 24 the Most Addictive Tv Series of Them All- Yes,With a 19% Vote

From 3000 movie and tv fans the verdict was Yes 24 is the most addictive tv Series. Kiefer Sutherlands 24 walked away with a chunky 19 % vote when it was voted as the most addictive series on TV. A big thank you to all the fans but wait,If you have never watched 24 and are catching up ,that tells me that this report is a little flawed. My thinking is that Bruce Lee was more popular in Africa and India than in China and the rest of the world.Pure hero worship is alive and well in Africa and added to the list of Rambo and Terminator will be 24. It has  run its course of season 1-8, the feature film  24 Redemption and we in the west are eagerly awaiting 24 The Movie. The drama that is 24 is still to be seen widely in Africa and there will be more fans once it gets underway including those who dont own a tv or a dvd player.

So who else ened up on the list?Well here are some of them
 24     -  19 % of the vote
Lost   -   17%
Friends-  10%
Heroes - 9%
The Wire- 7%
Prison Break 4%

I for one gave  up on Lost primarily because i got lost on the plot so I will give the extra vote to 24.Its one of a kind and to  catch up on this great drama or just get to know its key man Kiefer Sutherland Visit

Season 3 24 -The Return of Jack Bauer to CTU-Not as good as I expected

Watching 24 on cable and watching it on dvd elicits a different response from any 24 fan.In the UK we watched 24 on Sky Tv as current as it could get  and when you do that you look forward to that special hour when you buckle up with Jack Bauer and his crew for a hell ride through 24 and afterwards you can sort of review the action over the week until the next episode. However negative or positive you feel you always look forward to the next one.
Watching  24 on dvd is another matter. You get hooked straight from the first few minutes of season 1 and you expect a fast paced twist and turn all the way and that can be a problem.Season 3 24 does not really live up to expectations until probably the last few episodes but thats my opinion.
You are catching up with 24 and  if you are about to get your copy of Season 3  of 24 then you can expect Jack to be at his usual best coming back from the cold where he had gone deep undercover with the Salazar brothers in Mexico. There is a  bio terrorism threat to Los Angeles and Jack must go rogue unbeknown to his counterparts at CTU. It is one of those times that as 24 fans we  feel for Jack because of his coke addiction ,mean while in the higher echelons of power trouble is brewing for President Palmer as his adminstration falters   due to an attempt by Sherry Palmer to cover up an elicit affair involving a senator. It does not end well for Sherry Palmer I cant tell you more lest i spoil it for you. Will Jack  and his team succeed in stopping the virus from being unleashed? Will the discover the mastermind of the virus plot?

Season 2 24- Catch Up-Was it As Good As Day 1

There are three types of people who watched 24.There are the movie critics who scrutinize the plots ,the character developments, camera work and other technical aspects of any drama, then there are the arm chair critics who feel they really should have been in the directors chair cutting scenes and editing out what they dont like or changing the plot all together. Finally there is you and me who just love a decent story line with characters evolving in a way that we can follow. Season 2 24 came back to our screens as good as ever.
How does it compare it to Season 1?
Personally I feel that the first season was ground breaking and it was always going to be difficult to keep up the hype created in the pilot series. The suspense and the twist and turns in this season are as good as ever and in the face of 9/11 ,the plot and the action is edge of the seat stuff. The true magic of 24 was definately in season 1 and there was no way it was going to get better than that. There are some characters who dont really perform and the thrill slows down occassionally. As for Jack Bauer , he continues to move at his usual fast pace with more and more dillemas piling up in his life as he wrestles with terrorists. The rest of the cast from President Palmer to his wife Sherry and others continue to take on real depth and evolve as the protagonists in this drama. The season does what you would expect it to do and thats to keep you on the edge of your seat as you wait for events to unfold. The momentum of the drama as a whole helps to pull you along during dull moments or silly additions to story lines like the Kim and the lion encounter.
So how does the plot unravel?
Its 18 months down the line with President Palmer again facing trouble in his presidency as terrorists attempt to blow up Los Angeles in a parallel story to that of 9/11.President Palmer calls upon Jack to help in locating the bomb and and the terrorists. The main story line revolves around two men working together to stop a nuclear warhead going off but to do that they both need help from their close but worst enemies.Jack must work with Nina Myers who killed his wife and David Palmer must work with his ex wife Sherry who is trying to bring him down under the radar. To watch them as they play cat and mouse is what makes this season of 24 excellent tv though not in the same boat as the first. You will enjoy it as the betrayal, the deception and more contuinues.
The pace in 24 is blistering and if you are catching up it means you dont have to wait to get all the seasons so its best to get the full season 1-8 box set and plan how you will watch them all and in so doing ,you will get a better viewing experience and follow the storylines much closer. To get your copy of Season 2 DVD or the full box set visit the Addicted To 24 store here and for more comprehensive information on 24 and Kiefer Sutherland in general go to  Addicted to 24  website . Happy Viewing.

Seasons of 24 -How they worked

For the benefit of those who missed the boat and the action and suspense that was 24 here is the lowdown on what you missed. You may well ask why it matters that you missed a show series that has ended. Its because Jack will be back in 24 the movie and now is the time to catch up from the beginning.
Before giving you the details on what the series is all about we will give you an idea of how it is structured.
Season 1 of 24 is a tv series starring Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer the nations saviour counter terrorist agent who is just an ordinary guy who will change into an avenging angel bending and breaking the rules while pursuing domestic and international terrorists across America. 24 is made up of 8 series that spanned 8 years and each series has 24 episodes. Each episode lasts for 24 hours hence the name 24
There are plenty of twists and turns and loads of cliffhanger endings in this show and as you begin to see the characters in the show you begin to identify with them on a personal level .You will hate the bad guys and the good guys will not always win.In fact many good guys get killed off in each series and that is the kind of tv that will have you hungering for more. The moral dilemmas exhibited in the show are ones that even you will identify with in your day to day life such as President Palmers willingness to leave his wife Sherry after she fights to undermine his presidency as well as the big fish in his cabinet who are also out to use him.
At the end of the day it is not just about the action and the suspense that will have you at the edge of your seat,There is also the main story which is that of a man tormented for life because he chooses to sacrifice himself, his family and friends for the greater good. Jack Bauer loses his wife ,alienates his daughter and stops nuclear bombs and chemical warfare and assasins and gets himself into the most awkward situations and gets himself out again. He is the all American hero.

hell of a lot and now that you have made a decision to play catch up ,24 day  1 on dvd

least 3 or 4 episodes at a time because this is a fantastic show that is quite addictive
and to suck up 24 episodes of mind bending suspense, twists and turns will take some time.

But why should you spend your weekend catching up on a show that has ended. What is it
about 24 that you must see when there are more current shows on television today? To answer
this question  we will take you back to the 80s and nineties, back to the days of
classic shows like Dallas,Falcon Crest,Dynasty and others. To this day we still want to
know who killed JR in Dallas. It was an unforgettable drama and few have ever come close
to it until the arrival of 24.

What is it about 24 Day 1 that  makes it so great? It begins with Jack Bauer(Kiefer Sutherland )
as the all American hero  whose day starts off badly and ends  badly as the fallout
from a mission  in kosovo  two years ago catches up with him.A terrorist with a

worst day.Time  flies as family relationships go wrong,as wife and daughter become
kidnap targets. The president who happens to be having his own bad election day and family
issues accuses Jack of trying to kill him .Intertwined in this show are
tales of greed, corruption, betrayal, murder, family breakdown revenge
and every other vice and human frailty  that you can think of.It  is displayed at
a fast pace that will leave you glued to your plasma and unable to get up and go to work.

There is so much that happens on this day that it's impossible to tell you all about it.
The day finally ends in disaster.Jack's wife dies, murdered by a close colleague and all this
after he kills all the terrorists, saves the presidents life  while in a rage over
the thought that his daughter had died.

Jack Bauer  sacrifices his family and himself for his country and he  evolves into a an
avenging angel and the last person who will be called when push comes to shove for
the counter terrorist team.

This show is an absolute must see because its not the end for Jack as he will return. To get your copy of 24 Day 1 visit Addicted to 24 Here

24 -The Most Critically Acclaimed TV Series of 2010

24 the US TV Drama is primarily about Jack Bauer the nations favourate counter terrorist field agent who basically represents the sacrifices and moral issues that confront all those on the front line of Americas defense and war on terror.

Before we introuduce Jack Bauer as Americas deadly counter-terrorism agent, we must take you back to the late 90s and introuduce you to Kiefer Sutherland the actor. To be the brilliant actor that he is to day Kiefer has come from the 90s well placed to play this role in 24.
From Flatliners to Stand by Me to the Lost Boys and to A Few Good Men ,Kiefer has done it all winning numerous awards and being nominated time and time again for for outstanding lead actor, best performance best villain and loads more too numerous to mention. If you are an action junkie like myself then you will have seen the Lost Boys and  more recently the Sentinel, but to see Kiefer at his very best you have to watch 24 where he plays Jack Bauer -Americas  deadliest counter terrorist agent, the role he was born to play.

In future posts we dissect 24 and break it down season by season day by day hour by hour and if you just want to play catch up with 24 then i recommend beginnning with the whole box set of 24 Season 1-8  but if you are in no rush then you can begin with 24 Season 1.To begin Visit our site Addicted to 24  and get stuck in to the action that is 24

24 The Tv Series -How does it work?

How does 24 work? Each season is set in one 24 hour day. There are 24 episodes, each lasting one hour of "real time" in Jack Bauer's life. These aren't your average days however, they are filled to the brink with terrorism, explosions, conflict and anger. The ideas come from real world fears, including threats of assassinations, nuclear bombs, pathogen outbreaks, suicide bombers and more. Although some of the latter seasons do recycle old ideas with a fresh twist, the writer's have always come up with new ways to shock the audiences. Viewers have lost days and weeks following the traumatising events in 24, with many intending to watch one episode and eventually turning off the TV after completing their 4th or 5th, it really is like a book you can't put down.
I seriously recommend it!
