Is 24 the Most Addictive Tv Series of Them All- Yes,With a 19% Vote

From 3000 movie and tv fans the verdict was Yes 24 is the most addictive tv Series. Kiefer Sutherlands 24 walked away with a chunky 19 % vote when it was voted as the most addictive series on TV. A big thank you to all the fans but wait,If you have never watched 24 and are catching up ,that tells me that this report is a little flawed. My thinking is that Bruce Lee was more popular in Africa and India than in China and the rest of the world.Pure hero worship is alive and well in Africa and added to the list of Rambo and Terminator will be 24. It has  run its course of season 1-8, the feature film  24 Redemption and we in the west are eagerly awaiting 24 The Movie. The drama that is 24 is still to be seen widely in Africa and there will be more fans once it gets underway including those who dont own a tv or a dvd player.

So who else ened up on the list?Well here are some of them
 24     -  19 % of the vote
Lost   -   17%
Friends-  10%
Heroes - 9%
The Wire- 7%
Prison Break 4%

I for one gave  up on Lost primarily because i got lost on the plot so I will give the extra vote to 24.Its one of a kind and to  catch up on this great drama or just get to know its key man Kiefer Sutherland Visit

Season 3 24 -The Return of Jack Bauer to CTU-Not as good as I expected

Watching 24 on cable and watching it on dvd elicits a different response from any 24 fan.In the UK we watched 24 on Sky Tv as current as it could get  and when you do that you look forward to that special hour when you buckle up with Jack Bauer and his crew for a hell ride through 24 and afterwards you can sort of review the action over the week until the next episode. However negative or positive you feel you always look forward to the next one.
Watching  24 on dvd is another matter. You get hooked straight from the first few minutes of season 1 and you expect a fast paced twist and turn all the way and that can be a problem.Season 3 24 does not really live up to expectations until probably the last few episodes but thats my opinion.
You are catching up with 24 and  if you are about to get your copy of Season 3  of 24 then you can expect Jack to be at his usual best coming back from the cold where he had gone deep undercover with the Salazar brothers in Mexico. There is a  bio terrorism threat to Los Angeles and Jack must go rogue unbeknown to his counterparts at CTU. It is one of those times that as 24 fans we  feel for Jack because of his coke addiction ,mean while in the higher echelons of power trouble is brewing for President Palmer as his adminstration falters   due to an attempt by Sherry Palmer to cover up an elicit affair involving a senator. It does not end well for Sherry Palmer I cant tell you more lest i spoil it for you. Will Jack  and his team succeed in stopping the virus from being unleashed? Will the discover the mastermind of the virus plot?

Season 2 24- Catch Up-Was it As Good As Day 1

There are three types of people who watched 24.There are the movie critics who scrutinize the plots ,the character developments, camera work and other technical aspects of any drama, then there are the arm chair critics who feel they really should have been in the directors chair cutting scenes and editing out what they dont like or changing the plot all together. Finally there is you and me who just love a decent story line with characters evolving in a way that we can follow. Season 2 24 came back to our screens as good as ever.
How does it compare it to Season 1?
Personally I feel that the first season was ground breaking and it was always going to be difficult to keep up the hype created in the pilot series. The suspense and the twist and turns in this season are as good as ever and in the face of 9/11 ,the plot and the action is edge of the seat stuff. The true magic of 24 was definately in season 1 and there was no way it was going to get better than that. There are some characters who dont really perform and the thrill slows down occassionally. As for Jack Bauer , he continues to move at his usual fast pace with more and more dillemas piling up in his life as he wrestles with terrorists. The rest of the cast from President Palmer to his wife Sherry and others continue to take on real depth and evolve as the protagonists in this drama. The season does what you would expect it to do and thats to keep you on the edge of your seat as you wait for events to unfold. The momentum of the drama as a whole helps to pull you along during dull moments or silly additions to story lines like the Kim and the lion encounter.
So how does the plot unravel?
Its 18 months down the line with President Palmer again facing trouble in his presidency as terrorists attempt to blow up Los Angeles in a parallel story to that of 9/11.President Palmer calls upon Jack to help in locating the bomb and and the terrorists. The main story line revolves around two men working together to stop a nuclear warhead going off but to do that they both need help from their close but worst enemies.Jack must work with Nina Myers who killed his wife and David Palmer must work with his ex wife Sherry who is trying to bring him down under the radar. To watch them as they play cat and mouse is what makes this season of 24 excellent tv though not in the same boat as the first. You will enjoy it as the betrayal, the deception and more contuinues.
The pace in 24 is blistering and if you are catching up it means you dont have to wait to get all the seasons so its best to get the full season 1-8 box set and plan how you will watch them all and in so doing ,you will get a better viewing experience and follow the storylines much closer. To get your copy of Season 2 DVD or the full box set visit the Addicted To 24 store here and for more comprehensive information on 24 and Kiefer Sutherland in general go to  Addicted to 24  website . Happy Viewing.
